The Almonda collection, with a herringbone border, represents the portuguese textile tradition, a timeless classic. For decades it was the Companhia de Torres Novas’ best-selling design, and a cherished symbol by the industry.
Its name originates from the Almonda River, a tributary of the Tagus, born in the Serra de Aire, about 5km from the town of Torres Novas, which used to flow directly through the original Companhia Nacional de Fiação e Tecidos de Torres Novas.
Made of high quality cotton, with a 500 GSM weight and solid confection, the Almonda towels offer excellent absorption capacity and maximum durability.
Note: darker coloured towels shed a little more in the first few washes and take longer to stabilize. It is normal for these to take a few washing cycles to stabilize.
